I’m a good drummer but have never given drum lessons. His first lesson is tomorrow and I don’t know what to teach him. He has taken lessons before but is still a beginner. he struggles with both tempo and the ability to play solid beats.

What Type of Drumsticks Should I Get?

admin After a several drum lessons, I have decided that I want to carry on playing, so my tutor suggested that I get some sticks. At the time I forgot to ask him what type etc, and my next lesson is Saturday. I would like to have some sticks by then.
If anybody knows what the best type of sticks would be for a beginner and why, I would be extremely grateful. Thank you.
What Acoustic Drum Set Should I Get for a Cheap Price?

I just took a drum lesson, and I really like to play.
I need a beginners drum set.
BTW, a friend told me this info:
Either get a Pearl Ext Series, Pearl Export, Tama-Rockstar, or Pacific-PDP as a first drum set.
He also said to get acoustic.
He recommended to go to Daddy’s Junky Music, musiciansfriend.com, or guitarcenter.com
Anyway, out of those drum sets, can someone recommend me one like either one of those drum sets?
Also, I would like it to be under $500 (not including shipping)

February 19th, 2010 admin can you guys tell me some good drum brands for beginners. i do mean beginner because im just going to start a couple lessons and when/if i get into it, ill have a brand to rely on. can you tell me the brands, the usual price range for them, and some sites that are reliable to get from. or ill just go to a music store but whatever. no sketchy sites please
