Is This a Good Drum Set for a Beginner?

Hi,
I just took my first drum lessons yesterday, I did good, and I really like the drums. Obviously, I need to practice, so I want a drum set.

When I mean “good”, I just mean if it is sturdy and will not break… I can see that they are cheap drum sets, so the sound quality might not be that great.

I want a drum set that are $350 or less if you want to give me a link.

Thanks!

Beginner Drum Set…?

I’m fifteen and about to start drum lessons…Anyway, I’m going to go to a few classes to see if I want to keep taking them, and if I do, I’ll buy a drum set. I was just wondering what a good drum set for a beginner would be. Any links will be appreciated. Oh, and I live in British Columbia, Canada, if it matters at all…
I know this is the wrong section, but there aren’t many people answering in the music sections…

What Is a Good Beginner Drum Set?

I am 14 and I am joining the School of Rock. There I will be learning guitar, drums, keyboard, voice, and maybe bass. I already have my keyboard and my guitar since i have been taking lessons for guitar for 4 months already. What is a good beginner drum set? I was looking on craigslist and they had some drum sets on there that looked good but I don’t know.

Beginner in the Drummer’s World

Air drumming is good, but in order to really accomplish your ambitions of being a drummer you must enroll in drum lessons. Becoming worn-out and thwarted of just ideating the drums instead of really feeling and playing the thumping beats are hints that it’s high time to go to the next level of drum lessons.

It’s true!  Anyone who wants to learn how to play drums can do it. Because all it needs is active learning and becoming a master of these casual beats and patterns. In reality, drumming is so easy.  But lots of people are commonly restrained by the complicated beats the drum and drummer create.  But in world, these beats are just versions of simple patterns.

But before you can fly away at the drum set, first thing’s first.  One of the most fundamental lessons in drums and music is sheet reading.  Yes, drums produce notes too and you will have to know how to read the sheet music in able to hit the right drum and create the right sound.  There are different symbols which will be familiarized as time goes by, but sheet reading is the foundation which will enable you to play the drums.

As they say, practice makes perfect. It might be hard to stay motivated by playing simple beats but with the drums, mastery of the two above mentioned skills is the key to becoming an excellent drummer.  Students see it dull and try to push lessons, never mind that they have not mastered the fundamentals.  Of course, once you determine that you are prepared for more, there are intermediate and higher lessons for more full-fledged drummers out there.

Beginner Piano Lessons for the Young Ones

Beginner piano lessons for children involves a lot more than dropping your child off and letting him/her bang away on a piano. Consideration for the purpose of providing these lessons is only a small part of a larger picture. Benefits involved with the piano lessons have to be discussed. There is also the dilemma as to which teaching style is most appropriate for your child. How will you be able to tell if your child should ditch the piano and pick up the drums instead? The following paragraphs should help you in finding out these answers. BenefitsThere are a plethora of benefits brought on by taking piano lessons. Children usually don’t have much experience with an instrument when they begin piano lessons. The piano is a great first instrument for most. Music appreciation is a tremendous benefit. Kids can learn all about the classical composers while learning to play some of these songs on their own. Hand-eye coordination is a benefit that all children can’t get too much of. This increases fine motor skills tremendously. Another benefit is gaining concentration. Teaching StylesBeginner piano lessons for kids are taught in many different ways. It will depend on the maturity of the child. Children, who are just starting to recognize colors, might start with using color coded guides. These guides allow children to match up the colored notes with the key that lines up on the colored chart. If children aren’t quite ready for colors, there is always the Suzuki method. This method involves listening to songs and then playing what was heard. Children, who have mastered colors, might try learning with numbers instead. There are books with pictures of numbered piano keys. These keys match sheet music with the same numbers on it, arranged in a specific pattern across the paper. Most small children really enjoy matching, so this might seem like a fun game to them. Is it the Correct Instrument for your Child? It’s hard to tell if the piano is right for your child, unless there are tell-tale signs. These signs might include acting out, saying he/she is bored, not wanting to go to the lessons, etc. If any of these signs surface, observe lessons and see if you can figure out why these actions/reactions might be occurring. Parents are usually in tune with their own children and can tell when something is wrong. Maybe they aren’t ready for the piano. Only you will be able to know.
