@BellumSacrumBellum28 Not a Bigsy – that would have left ugly scars… one of those single rod vibrola arms attached by a single screw. I dislike ‘em. Would have wanted to take it off, like Townsend and Iommi did. So I am glad somebody before me did, because it devalued the guitar which meant I could afford it (!).
So, that guitar used to have a Bigsby? Yeah, shame someone took it off and devalued the instrument. Take Care
@BellumSacrumBellum28 Hey man – close. It’s a 1967. Three holes in the body where the stupid whammy bar used to be. Someone else yanked it out (saving me the trouble, and devaluing the guitar nicely before it reached me!)
I’d like to own an SG with humbuckers some day. It’s a magic combination.
rock on
Nice guitar. “harmonica” style tune-o-matic, single coil P-90 PUPS, No stop tailpiece? I want to say 1968, but I’ll say 1970. Not sure because of the pick guard for that year. Mine is much smaller covering not quite half the body.
I own a 1973 SG Standard with tailpiece, same harmonic bridge, with 490R, 498T Humbuckers that fucking scream being played through a 1986 Marshall JCM-800 2203. Have a good day.
@SaeBap haha – no Laney amp here. Got some good ones, but no Laneys… yet
Till just recently I didn’t realise Toni did so many double bends , I thought he was just doubling the notes in the studio..And you got the single coil SG too, cool ..Let me guess, you have a Lanley amp as well?
Well played!..
Great teacher! and dead on!
just great!!! you really feel black sabbath
just great!!! you really feel black sabbath
awsome p90s!!
@fehersolyom P-90’s
please tell me what pick upsare this
I really like your lessons! You provide backing tracks and tabs, also! And of course, you’re a pro!
Thanks!
You’re the best teacher on YouTube! You’re awesome! Keep on rockin’, man!!!
I do play them all as downpicks. Not sure if it’s fair to call that sweeping since the duration of the notes is a lot slower than situations where sweeping is needed. What I mean is: you COULD lay these with alt picking, but you don’t have that option in real fast sweeping licks (like the opening of the first solo in Judas Priest’ s Painkiller.)
Hey,do you sweep the ”Chuck Berry” style licks at 0:45
@Terrible1 yes! That’s done now. Please visit my youtube page and you’ll see it in my Black Sabbath Guitar Lesson playlist. Or go to didkovsky dawt com slash tabs
oh wow you learned the intro to black sabbath from paris ? thats amazing. i uploaded that video on youtube hoping someone could learn it. ive kinda got the easy parts down but once tony starts moving quickly im in the zone lol i enjoy your guitar playing though and your sg :]]
hope to see that video soon!
@kaos5598 and its good so just dont stop to playin it
By any chance when you said ” transcribed” do you mean you have the tab? if so there isn’t no way you could get the tab up first then do the video? sorry, ive just been trying to find a tab for that for years…. it’s hard to wait, but if not thats ok. i can wait lol.
Awesome lesson brah. This really helped me learn this amazing solo and now I can’t stop playing it over and over again.
ha! Ok, I’ll take it.
Huh,nice
Its like what in my country we say ‘’slow but effective” or something like this i cant explain it on english.
Great job!
I’ve learned it and transcribed it, and now just need to videotape it. I also need to get some equipment stuff settled to get the right tone. Don’t want to be disappointed when I turn it up at the end for the big crunch chord… taking a little work to get a clean glassy quiet tone that roars when I turn up the guitar volume. Soon!
