This is without doubt my favourite Rush song.

    @SmittyWerbenmanjense

It, of course, makes me an idiot that I decided not to specifically mention the influences that are clearly listed on Wikipedia and instead chose to go for the direct interpretation. Thanks for your contribution, sir.

  3. SmittyWerbenmanjense says:

Idiot…this song is based on “A Nice Morning Drive,” written by Richard Foster.

  4. jamesmaglione says:

that is 100% correct it pisses me off when people think they can play drums because they can play expert on guitar hero drums are a thing that you need to work on and learn dynamics

  5. b00mer527 says:

this is like one the only not impossible rush drum song; btw this song is on rb classic track pack

  6. nucleurXbox360 says:

he has a real drum kit. it’s electronic

  7. teamanabolix says:

Rock Band is a video game. Drums are a musical instrument. They may look similar with similar playing style, but never forget…. it’s just a game and you are not a musician. Rock Band pads only care if you make contact at the right time. They don’t measure intensity. If this were being played on a real kit, it would sound like BAM BAM BAM! And in regards to cost, an electronic kit can be had for about the same cost and MIDI downloads of your favorite song are often free on the internet.

just to clariffy, i im talking about master of puppets in this comment

  9. XxKevin18xX says:

Talking about a different song here tough guy. someone brought up Master of Puppets into this comment page, saying it was about something which i dont remember, and i corrected them. but thanks for the novel.

  10. r4v3n355 says:

Really? That’s interesting because the song reflects the band’s libertarian values in that they believe that there’s an innocent, carefree nature in an object very symbolic of the free market, a car, and how an overbearing government, represented by the drone thing, will take the glory out of freedom. Not drugs.

  11. r4v3n355 says:

Assuming for a second you CAN do it on a real drum kit…

(I’m both a RB drummer and real life drummer. Much easier on RB, and it’s much more fun to do it on RB than to not do it in real life)

  12. lucasadverse says:

    youre wrong

    its not waste of time
rock band its cheap, doesnt make noise, you develope your ability like if it was real drums, you learn and know a lot of songs playing rock band and you dont need to know how to play the song to play it on rock band

real drums make ALOT of noise so you cant play at your apartment, its expansive and you have to learn how to play the songs

im not saying that real drums are boring, im just saying that rock band is fun too

  13. speedy342316 says:

so you’re under the impression neil pearts drumming masterpiece red barchetta is a song you can just by a drumset and start playing?

  14. BurtonAir161 says:

Why waste your time playing such a cool song like Red Barchetta on a video game when you could get a real drum kit and play it for REAL!! Believe me, it would feel so much better to do it that way.

  15. wtfyourafuckindoosh says:

its called a nice mornings drive. i just read it its pretty cool

  16. MurdertheDawn says:

Sorry, you were reffering to Metallica. I always thought it was more about alcohol, though.

  17. MurdertheDawn says:

Well, that’s not to far from bieng a true book report. 2112 is actually based on a novel called “Anthem” by some woman.

  18. MurdertheDawn says:

This song is definitely based on a short story about a car….

  19. XxKevin18xX says:

how do i get -3 on my comment, its obvious the song is about drugs taking over a persons life.

I actually took your idea and did one of my book reports on Red Barchetta. I got 100% on it, which was awesome. But I never got it back…

  22. bobMcFreddyKrugerson says:

  23. candlewick163 says:
